Weird Michigan by Linda S. Godfrey

A+

Whether you are a born Wolverine, a tourist, or a new resident, this fantastic book is a must read. Full of pictures, stories and facts about the state, it brings to light so many fascinating myths, lore, and actual incidents that have happened here. From all the way back to the Nain Rouge (or Red Dwarf) that has plagued Detroit for nearly 3 centuries up to the Melon Heads of Saugatuck and Bridgman, the book also includes features on haunted graveyards, a mini Stonehenge in Grand Rapids, as well as roadside attractions and abandoned places. Its a big book with lots of pictures and tales to tell. Entertaining to go through and makes you want to hunt down and explore the locations.
