If you are a fan of paranormal romance with just a touch of creepy horror then I highly recommend Shadows, the first book in a trilogy set in New Orleans. Brielle and her two sisters, Daphne and Mille, are gifted psychics who grew up in a house of horrors and barely escaped with their sanity in tact. Brielle, the oldest, lives in New Orleans where she does ghost guides of haunted places for the tourists. Which works well for her because her specific gift allows her to see the dead. Or, more precisely, the shadows of the dead.
During a normal, run-of-the-mill tour, two things happen at the same time. One; a new shadow has appeared, something that hasn't happened in a long time and Two; she meets Cash, an FBI profiler on vacation. Which is great, because there is a serial killer stalking the streets of New Orleans. One who has become fixated on Brielle and he's the reason new shadows appear day after day in her path. Now Brielle is going to have to put her gifts to use, and her trust in Cash, to make sure she doesn't end up as one of them.
