In celebration of reading month, learn how to get a library card for an adult, child or teen, or an online library card! Plus, even more fun in the Children's Department updates!
Junior Department-
Children's
A fun new display for Reading Month, featuring Black/African American authors "Getting Caught Reading". Throughout the month, there will be books featuring Black/African American stories for free to pick up so you, too, can Get Caught Reading!
(please limit to one book per child per family) (if your child selected a book from the Book of the Month promotion, they are not eligible for a Get Caught Reading promotional book that week)
New book have been set out for the Book of the Month Club. Every time your child returns or checks out a book, they get a free book to keep! Please ask us for titles.

Adult Department-
Notary services are no longer available at the library. See our Services page for suggested alternatives.
Women's history books have been put on display throughout the department. Come check some out!
Special announcement for Elementary School Teachers!
If you're interested in holding a classroom reading program, we are giving away themed reading program book logs and certificates. Any teachers who checks out books will receive a randomly-themed set of 25 logs and 25 certificates. While supplies last. First come first serve basis. Must have a valid Educators card at the BHPL. Contact the Children's Librarian for more information.
