Boy in the Box - by Marc Fitch

Rating: C.

I would have given a lower score except the book was well written. Intriguing story about 4 friends who 7 years before had accidentally killed a young boy while they were deer hunting. Instead of going for help or reporting it they decide that for their future they would hide the body and tell no one. One of their group, weighed down with guilt has committed suicide at the beginning of the book. The remaining men because of the possibility of the body being discovered , decide to dig it up and dispose of it more permanently. Unfortunately about mid way through the book goes off the rails and becomes repetitive with gore as the men become pursued through the woods. It became for me a grueling slog to the end.
