Updates this month at the Library
General Updates
The Library will close on November 3rd and 4th in observance of Staff Furlough Days. Hours will resume as normal on Monday November 6th.
The Library will also close on Thanksgiving day, as well as the Friday and Saturday after. Hours will resume as normal on Monday 27th.
The Library will open at 7:00 AM on November 7th for Election Day. Voters will have access to the stairs leading to the 2nd floor Auditorium, where the voting will be held. Handicapped voters will have access to the elevators.

Indigenous Peoples Month
A selection of books and novels to remember and celebrate the lives and cultures of the Native Peoples of America. This display will be up until November 30th
National Scholarship Month
Learn how to write scholarships and much more with this month-long display. Includes a helpful resource list of potential scholarships! This display will be up until November 30th
National Hunger & Homeless Awareness Week
Learn how you can help, or how to help yourself if you are experiencing homelessness with this collection of informative books. This display will be up from November 6th-11th
Global Global Entrepreneurship Week
Celebrate and empower entrepreneurs in every country and community around the world. Check out this collection of books that can help gain ideas for your startup! This display will be up from November 13th-19th
National Family Week
Celebrate family this week with this display featuring fun, dysfunctional, loving, happy, sad, and every type of familial love! This display will be up from November 20th-30th

Come and enjoy a hot cuppa while making soothing crafts and relaxing with library friends. Held in the Auditorium, located on the second floor. Running from 12-3 PM

Join a group of adventurers as they travel the realm. Lead by a library staff DM. Held in the Auditorium, located on the second floor. Snacks will be served. Running from 5-8PM

Cornucopia of Thankfulness - All month long
Tell our library friends what you’re thankful for! Write what you’re thankful for on a fruit or veggie and add it to the Cornucopia basket.
Healthy Foods, Healthy Families - November 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th
The Healthy Foods, Healthy Families program is designed to assist parents and caregivers help their family become healthier through proper nutrition, exercise, and food safety. This six-week long program will run every Wednesday, from November 1 thru December 6 from 3:00PM-4:00PM.
Little Miss Community Pageant reading with queens - November 11th
The community queens of the Little Miss Community Pageant will be at the library for their Reading With Queens literacy program on November 11th from 1PM-3PM. Come and meet, receive signed photographs, and attend a story time with the queens!
Friends of the 4-H Club: reading with dogs - November 7th
Come read and get to know the furry friends of the library! All dogs are trained and will be accompanied by their pet parents. Running from 5-6PM
Family Night with Krasl - November 8th
Have fun and make an amazing craft with the whole family. Held in the craft area of the Children’s Department. Running from 5-6:30PM.
Homeschool group Meet-n-Greet - November 15
Join a network of Homeschooling families across Benton Harbor and surrounding areas! Participate in group learning, socializing, and more with parents and kids just like you! Running from 2-4PM
